I am designing my baby's nursery and I have some colors in mind, but I heard that certain colors can affect your baby's mood.  Like bright Red can be over stimulating, or pastels are more soothing, or I like this one where yellow makes a baby cry?  I want to create a nursery that is relaxing and help put baby to sleep.  Any ideas?

We didn't paint, but colors in general can have an affect on your mood. Here's a link I found about color psychology for infants.

I know people who swear by blue in the nursery. My girl's had pink nursery's, my son had blue and my other son had neutral with green trim.

i think it can have SOME effect, but its not going to affect your baby's whole temperament. paint whatever color you want. we did blue the first time, then tan the next bc those are the colors we liked/wanted

We painted ds's room mint green and did a cherry brown chair rail.  The colors were done two months before I found I was pregnant.

I don't think color matters that much. Both my kids rooms were painted long before they were even thought of and I didn't change the colors.

I think color is important as well as shapes/patterns.

I have learned that it is important to have light colors in the babies room. Light colors put off the vibe of happiness and sunshine. As opposed to dark colors it's been shown to cause depression.
