She needs to just adjust to a new routine. Make sure her nails are cut. It may take a while.

Each day you swaddle her to sleep, wrap her a little bit less tight.

i have her in a zip up swaddle right now so i may have to go buy new swaddles to do that. i know you are not suppose to have a blanket in the bed with them but i was wondering if i swaddled her in  thin blanket that she could easily break out of if that would help.

I'm terrible at cutting nails. Her nails are short but very sharp.

Try cutting them after her bath when they are soft and use an emery board to soften the edges.

this, though I always heard of people swaddling until the baby no longer wants it.

Maybe just wrap her body and put mittens on her hands?

I ended up just wrapping her without her arms and worked our way out of the swaddle. She is now sleeping on her own in her crib without a swaddle for about a month now. I now know when I have another baby I'm going to do my best not to swaddle from the start.
