Did your baby start to use a sippy cup? How did you get them to like it? My 9 month old cries when I Try to get her to use one.

I started to try to get mine to take one at 8 months. She wouldnt have anything to do with it. At 9 months she was starting to drink out of our straws. So I bought her the straw sippy cups and she loved them during the day but not at nap time or bed time. (I know your not supposed to put them down with a cup or bottle but we still do) at 11 months she just gave up her bottle and only wanted the cup. I have been very lucky with her though. She stopped the pacifier, breastfeeding, bottle, all on her own with out me having to just go cold turkey from it.

My son cried over sippy's too. He would only take straw sippy's.

I start my kids on them around 12 months old. I just keep introducing different sippy cups to then until they find one they like. :-)

I Started The sippy cup at 4 months old. Connor liked the way it felt on his gums.

Of course he spilled plenty but every month he spills less

I introduce it around 12 months old.  I don't make them use it.  I just make it available.  Eventually they just start using it.

I started offering it around 8 months with both my kids but they both really didn't get the hang of it until they were around 1 or so.

1 mom liked this
9 months. I just offered an ounce of water when eating solids. I nurse so sippy cup is not a huge deal here.
