The Stir is doing a story on what last name moms gave their baby and why. Tell us: Did you give your baby your partner's last name, your own last name, a hyphenated name, a blended name, or something else entirely? Why did you make that choice, and how do you feel about it? Please also include your first name and age. Thanks!

My oldest Dd has my maiden name, because I was not married and never did marry her BF. My other children took married names. Becky, 42

I took my Husband's last name when we married. Now we are a family of 6, all with the same last name. ~Heather 28

Always the name of the father. Especially since they're all boys it just seemed like the right thing to do. Ariel, 24.

They have their dad's last name, I also took his name. I'm traditional, I suppose. I wanted all of us to have the same last name.

We all have the same last name (my husband's).

We hyphenated the last name, we could not agree.  We do not see ourselves getting married anytime soon.
