Has anyone else gone through this and it ended out okay?
I'm 5.5 wks pregnant went to er last night due to sever back pain and slight cramping. They checked my levels it was at 4700 ultrasound saw sac and the yolk but no formation of the spinal cord! Dr said could just be an late bloomer or could be a baby that stopped growing which will end in miscarriage!!! Has anyone been told this and baby was just fine????

I have a friend that had a few problems and everything worked itself out but not sure what the problems were exactly. Stay positive mama. Prayers and well wishes. HUGS

I am sorry to say that something similar happened to me, mine ended in a pregnancy with no baby being formed. So a miscarriage, but just a sac. Hope everythings ok. Keep us posted.

No spinal cord? You can't see a spinal cord that early even. You can see a baby sometimes that looks like a grain of rice. Are you sure they didn't say fetal pole?

I wouldn't panic yet.

This.  It's too early to see anything like a spinal cord.  All you could see is a fetal pole, but even then, it's really early.

I don't have any personal experience with that, but I'm saying a prayer for you now.
