Preventative measures

This May sound like a first time mom concern but my 10 1/2 month old has a cough. My mother was pretty sick for three day, and she kept away from the baby until she felt better. But now my baby has a cough and I was wondering if there was any preventable measures I could take before it gets worse. Maybe I should mention she is in good spirits an she just had a hep. Shot yesterday. So I'm not sure if that has something to do with it or if she may have picked it up from my mom.

Call your pedi if it gets worse. Croup has been going around in my area.

Steam up the bathroom and sit in there with him for a while. Fill the sink with hot water and a few drops of eucalyptus oil.

I agree with all the above posters. You could also get a cool mist humidifier.
