The Stir is looking for stories or tips from parents on the best smells of babyhood....what smells do you love most, and why? Do you love the smell of talcum powder, or their baby blanket, or their freshly shampooed peach fuzz hair?

I love the smell of a freshly bathed baby. There is something about the baby shampoos

I love the smell of the baby laundry detergent I use. It just reminds me of a time of eagerness and excitement, since I wash all the baby's clothing late in pregnancy. It reminds me of the first time getting them dressed after they're born. There's nothing quite like that smell!

I don't use baby detergent for long, but I HAVE to buy it every time I'm pregnant just to wash those first few loads of laundry in it.

Their little heads after bath time. My daughter is three and has hair down to her waist and I still smell her head like I do my 11 month old son's.

There are many smells of a baby I love.  Even the one when they first lay them on my chest after birth.
