Mom's who've had C-sections!

I had my C-section over 7 months ago and AF just returned yesterday. Is it common/normal for the area around the scar to become "puffy" or kind of swell up?

Didn't happen to me. I did have mine 5 yrs ago, but I didn't have that happen 7 months after the C-section. Post c-section yes because of infection and my blood clotting disorder but not after a complete healing.

I never had any problems of puffiness. In fact 3 mos later it was just a pink line. 6 years later you have to look close to even see the scar. I would call the OBGYN Monday for an appointment. If it hurts or seems real swollen go to the E.R.

No, I would get it checked out.

Not normal that I know of. I've had 2 c-sections and can't say it's been puffy past like 4months.

I would contact a dr about that. It doesn't sound normal to me. Though the one time I did have an infection it wasn't puffy, just red and irritated.

That doesn't sound normal. Hormonal changes can have an effect on skin, but I would still call your doctor and have it checked.

Are you prone to keloids? It could be scaring. All my scars keloid including my C section. I still have a noticeable scar 6 years later.
