My oldest has or old iPhone and I let my youngest use mine. They only use it for a little bit during the day and only for learning games the majority of the time. My youngest loves the puzzle and coloring games.

My 7 yr old has an iPod and kindle fire that he plays games on. He rarely plays it because he can't keep it charged. I only let him have 30 min of video games and junk like that a day. I do let him play my phone to keep him occupied if we have to wait a long time somewhere.

He is only allowed to play a game if we need him to be calm somewhere.  For example: We were in a dr's office waiting. I played a game while he watched to keep him occupied.
