Hello. I started feeding my 9 month old son multi grain cheerios almost a week ago. This past Wednesday he randomly threw up and then again tonight he threw up but this time it was in his sleep. I was wondering if this was a sign of an allergic reaction?

Why do you feel that it is related to the Cheerios as opposed to being sick?

We skipped giving him cheerios in between the two days and he seemed fine

Yes. Let him have small pieces of whatever healthy food you're having; meats, fruits, vegetables. Always nurse or give a bottle before any solids until after his first birthday. Food before one is just for fun.

Aloha & welcome to the group.

I would take a break from the Cheerioes and try something else. As far as allergies goes, does baby swell up or break out into hives? Maybe it just doesn't agree with your LO's tummy.

Allergic reaction would come with a rash.

Okay thank you! That means he's not allergic then. His tummy just doesn't like them. Thank you!

I would try taking a break to see if that helps.

Hello and welcome!

I would call your pedi and let him/her hear what's happening. I always figure it doesn't hurt to call just to check their opinion. If nothing has changed, and you've ruled out the Cheerios, maybe he has a stomach bug.
