is it just me or does breastfeeding make you super hungy?

I swear I eat more now than I did when I was pregnant!  It is crazy... I will eat an entire meal and be starving 3 hours later.  I have never been able to clear my plate.... lately I have been able to eat a huge steak, potato, salad, and bread.... and go back for seconds... so either this is totally normal when you are breastfeeding... or I need to take a pregnancy test!!!

It is normal at first but it does not last...thank god!! LOL it is usually only when your body is getting used to producing the milk and when it becomes regular you won't be so hungry.

I'm with you! I am just insanely ravenous. The good news is I haven't gained any weight from it.

Breastfeeding moms can burn up to an additional 500 calories a day!  That's why you're so hungry!

Exactly - 500 calories to produce milk and about 300 being pregnant, lol.
