EBAY! I bought a double pump by Ameda from EBAY. I only paid $60. I sanitized the hell out of the bottles and bought brand new tubing and end caps form the Ameda website for cheap. It was well worth it.

what kind of ameda was it? did you like it? and thanks!
It was a double pump. I just remember Ameda being the brand. I did like it. It worked very well. The seller even included the bag and freezer cases to pack everything away in.

To me, the best bang-for-you-buck double electric pump is made by Lansinoh. It sells new on Amazon anywhere from 100-130 dollars daily. I have it... Works GREAT! I really can't tell the diff between it and hospital grade pumps that I've used. The only differences between this pump and the 250-380 Medela systems is that it doesn't come with the bag and some extra accessories... which don't add up to the price difference at ALL!
The two best pumps are the Ameda Purely Yours and any Medela double electric. They are the only two on the market that have closed systems, so if you want to buy used, these are the only safe ones. I have an Ameda PY and really like it. I exclusively pumped until my son was 13 months and the pump is worn out. From what I understand, Medela pumps are easier on the nips and will last through more than one kid. That said, my body responded better to the Ameda than the Medela and if we have another child, I will buy another Ameda.
I had a Medela Pump in Style that was my sister in law's. She used it and my other sister is law used it too. It worked great and is well worth the money. My sister in law was using it for her 2nd baby but a power surge fried it so she bought the newest Pump in Style for I think about $250. It's especially nice if you're going to be taking to work with you to pump.
I have a Medela pump in style douple pump. I love it!!! MY SIL gave it to me, so the only thing I was out the new tubes and sheilds and stuff like that. I know in my area Medela is the brand that everybody carries so it is easier to get replacement parts. I use mine at work and I get about 5 ounces per session.
I bought a cheap one $60 from WalMart and it broke the 2nd time I used it. I ordered a Medela Pump N Style from lactationcare.com, you can get them a little cheaper than from Babies R Us. The pump that they have you use at the hospital uses the same kind and all those pieces that you pay for b/c you used it you can take home and use for extra pieces! I breastfed for the first year and that baby worked so much better. The first one I had made my nipples sore. I didn't have any problems with this one. I've had friends that loved theirs too. It's well worth the money.
I have a Medela PIS Advance. I pumped exclusively for 5 months after DD was born and it held up great. My best friend, SIL, and now my cousin have all used it too with replacement tubing and a couple other little parts that we got at the local hospital. I paid around $300 for the pump and each girl has given me a little for letting her use it so it's almost paid for. I just hope it's still working when we're ready for #2!
