So many of you gave me such great support thru my tough pregnancy that I thought I should let everyone know what has happened. I gave birth to little Alissa Marie on Wednesday October 28 at 12:58pm. Her birth went great, but when she came out her oxygen levels were below 40, when they should have been between 90 and 105. The nurses at the hospital thought it was from having stuff in her lungs but after an hour of trying to get her oxygen up life flight helicoptered her to Childrens hospital in San Diego. It turns out the two main valves in her heart were switched. She underwent one surgery the night she was born to open up a space in her heart to allow better oxygen to get to her heart. She went a very extensive open heart surgery yesterday. Everything went good, but her recovery is the hard part. The two arteries coming off her heart are much smaller than they should be so it can cause major complications and they cannot do anything to fix them at this point. Thru family and friends we have been able to stay close to her in San Diego. We are praying she gets well and everything goes great for our little angel. She is a fighter. Please pray for our little miracle baby.

This is a picture of her right before her Open Heart Surgery.

Your family will be in my thoughts... My oldest son had 2 open heart surgeries due to narrowing when he was 4 months old and he is now 5 years old... It's tough but these little ones are stronger than many people think... Good luck momma...

Saying a prayer for her. She is beautiful, and I hope she heals and she doesn't have any more heart problems.
*hugs*
Yes, we will and I going to call the Birmingham, AL Temple (LDS) and place her name on the prayer role. Continue praying, and turn it over to GOD, in the name of JESUS CHRIST, and let HIM have his way! GOD bless this child and you and your family!
I dont mean to be rude because obviously this is a hard time for you, but if that is YOUR address, I would suggest removing it and sending it as a private messege. Not only does putting it here give everyone in this group access to it, but it puts it in a spot that can be searched from the internet. I would just be really wary about posting your address in a public place on the internet.
my thoughts and prayers are with you and that gorgeous little girl!!! GL
