I dont understand. I woke up had to pee, i wiped there it was, i know it was my bloody show. I set down in the bed like wow. A few minutes later i have a pretty painful contraction then 3 minutes later another and so on for 3 hours. Now they have practically stopped. I have one every now and then. I still feel crampy tho. I just dont understand whats going on.

It's just your body's way of getting ready. =)    Unless you are pre-term, just relax and go about your day.  The contractions could return any minute or not for days.  Stressing out may hinder your progress.  Good luck!  =)

I'm not sure how far along you are in your pregnancy, but I would call your doctor and let them know what's going on..(better to be safe then sorry) Good Luck Mama!!!!

Its not unusual at all! That happened to me during both my labors, i took the time to relax, take a nap, make dinner etc..for me the contractions came back after a few hours and both babies were born a couple of hours after the contractions returned but it could take hours, days or even weeks!

Throughout the world, there exists a group of women who feel mightily drawn to giving care to women in childbirth. At the same time maternal and independent, responsive to a mother's needs, yet accepting full responsibility as her attendant; such women are natural midwives. Without the presence and acceptance of the midwife, obstetrics becomes aggressive, technical, and inhuman.

Maybe you could try walking to get them to pick back up?  I would say SEX, but for some reason I'm thinking sex after the plug is gone isn't good?  Although that could be completely false, I'm not sure.  Maybe I'm not the best one to give advice lol.

Sometimes it takes a while for your body to decide it's really time.

For example my last labor I Had bloody show ( a ton like a period)  then my water didn't break for another 2 days.  My midwife says the bloody show is caused by the cervix quickly changing by effacement or dialation. So at least you know something is going on. It probably won't be long now.

So I had an appointment and asked my MW if it was ok to have sex after losing the mucus plug just cuz now I'm curiuos.  She said yes.  She said the only time she would suggest not it is if A) ruptured membranes/broken water  or B) you are having any bleeding.

That being said... I think it is safe to try it if you feel up to it...

Take a warm bath, that may help the contractions start back up again.
