Arrhythmia...any suggestions??

I am 31 weeks pregnant and just within the last few weeks my heart has been racing CONSTANTLY. Even when i'm sitting or laying down, nothing seems to help. My doctor says it's because of the hormones, and just part of pregnancy. Just wondering if anyone else has this??

I have it but I had it before I got pregnant and now it seems to be getting worse also, especially when I lay down, sometimes it feels like my heart is really working at pushing out a pump and I have to get up and gasp for air, I haven't talked to my OB about this but I will next time I see her because it's scary.

Good Luck!

i always have it early on with my pregnancies. My dr said its because you are sharing your blood supply...

I have an arrythmia all the time and I take blood pressure medicine to help. It is safe during pregnancy so if the arythmia is that bad you can talk to your doctor about medication. Something that helped before I had blood pressure medecine is making sure to drink alot of water, avoid anything with caffine including chocolate, and make sure to you psych yourself out about it. I feel like it was the worst when I was scared it was something terrible.

Thanks, I think I will talk to my doctor about some medication. I didn't know that it was safe during pregnancy.
