okay im 16 weeks along and getting my 18 week u/s in just under 2 weeks. well my so wont be there so i want to suprise him somehow later. something subtle he has to look for to figure it out. i think it ll be fun please share any ideas you have
if they give you a video..you could put it next to your other videos (labled to where he can see it) and then ask him to look for a movie for you..hell see it..lol
Well I really didn't make him search for it..but I had my U.S. done when my SO was at work, so before he got off work I went and stuck the u.s. picture that had "Hi Daddy..I'm a BOY!" on his stearling wheel..so it was the first thing he saw when he got off work..he liked it and I thought it was cute.
Wear something subtle thats either pink, or blue then say "Do you like my sweater (or whatever clothing it is)?" Then maybe if you are having a boy say you're really in the mood to watch some football, and can't figure out why... Alternatively maybe say you have a strange urge to watch a cheesy chick flick that won't go away. I would just keep doing small gender stereotypical things until he either says "what the heck is going on?", or figures it out. lol If you want to just get it out quick you could buy either all pink, or all blue candies in a little box then have him open the box with the candies inside.... You could buy a bunch of balloons that say its a boy, or its a girl then hide them somewhere like his closet, or the bathroom so when he goes in he gets surprised by a big bundle of pink, or blue balloons. Just a few ideas, Good luck at your u/s!
adorable ideas!!!

This isn't exactly what you're asking for, but my cousin had an US at 12 or 13 weeks and the tech could already tell what it is. The tech asked if she wanted to know, and since her DH wasn't with her, she said no. So the US tech told her to look away while she took the picture and typed It's a Girl on it, then she put it in an envelope. When her DH got home, they opened the envelope together to find out at the same time they are having a girl.
Well with this baby my s/o could not go because we had nobody to watch our other children and my Ob's office banned kids a few years ago. So when it came time in my u/s for the tech to look she had me look away from the screen and then she took the boy part u/s pic, put it in an envelope, stapled teh envelope closed and gave it to me. So the whole family found out together. It was very intimate, w/o my s/o being there. GL!!
