Ok, so I thought I figured out a name for this munchkin, and now I'm not so sure. I love the name Lucy. My great-grandma's name was Lucille, so I was going to use Lucille and call her Lucy. I also like my grandma's names, Madeline and Vivian. I do not want her name to start with an M. I like Lucille Vivian, but my dad and step-mom are upset that I didn't chose Madeline. And my step-mom thinks they will tease her with the name Lucy. i know I don't have to please them, but now I'm just so damn frustrated. I may just pick a completely new name and not use anyones! Help me! Any suggestions? I just don't know what to do!
I agree with PP! Honor those you choose and tell the rest to butt out! This is exactly why i refuse to tell anyone what we are naming our baby! We tend to choose "unique" names, and love them for OUR reasons. This time around we've picked out Chase Hunter and Cairo M'Kenna, and our family will find out the day he/she is born!

My MIL was being a brat about some of the name choices so my husband would tell her some funky name just to piss her off...lol! Our 2 main names were Kendra and Kennedy and she hated both. My husband would not agree on anything other than those two so i changed the spelling to Kenadee and now she's fine with it! Don't change things to make other people happy, choose what you like and screw what everyone else thinks. Just tell them "well this is what we like"!
I think Lucille is a beautiful name... I say go with the name you love most. We haven't told our family our name choices because everyone always has an opinion. No matter what name you pick its not going to be everyone's favorite.
Vivian Lucille would be cute too! =) Or if you like the name Madaline but don't want her name to start with an 'M' you could take the 'M' out and use the name Adaline. that would be really cute with the middle name Lucille! Good luck with the name, and let us know what you end up picking! Picking a name is really hard. I know I changed my mind a million times with my sons name!

I would keep the name, I think its beautiful. People will always have something to say about whatever name you pick. My mother kept saying something to my niece about the name she picked until I put her in her place. I have even heard things about the name I picked. Oh they like it but I should spell it differently so people can find things with her name on it. Stick with what you like and never mind everyone else.
