this is my first baby and i just turned 20 and I'm 31 weeks and i am still a daddy's
girl all the way so of course everyone figured she'd have a muslim name
seeing that my father is muslim and she'd have our family's last name..well for the longest time I couldnt decide on a name or even liked the one he suggested except Imani... however my daughter's father didn't like that name... or any of my names really... he said they were too "preppy" and with him being a music producer i just new he'd have some crazy name like lyriq or muzik or something relating to music...
well when my dad that wasn't the case because my daughter's father
will be a major part in her life ( things weren't always this way) and
she should have his last name he completely lost it... he even cursed
at me and that NEVER happens his exact words were " I want her to have
our last name , its our family name damn it and I bet you're going to let him name her too aren't you" needless to say after my
mom had a good talking with him he apologized and said he didnt want me
to feel like he was pressuring me into something i didnt want to ... well
since then we finally came up with a name actually her dad named her
Jayla Brielle and I fell in love with it ... although no one really
knows her name i've sort of kept it a secret because I rather tell my
dad and idk how he'll react knowing that her father named her and she'll have
his last name .. of course its my.. well our decision as to what to
name our child but he's still my daddy and in some ways i feel like he thinks this is his chance to start over or something... sometimes it just gets too much .. not with just this but with everything .. sorry just had to vent .thanks for listening
this is why i am keeping everything asecret--the name, the gender, all of it!! this is YOUR baby, you and her father are the only ones who have a say on what to name her....if u want to name her muzik, lol, thats your choice. your parents should butt out.....thats just my opinion, tho!!
