Okay, so last week at 30 weeks i had to go into the hospital for preterm labor. I had some spotting and alot of clear liquidy-ness. Then the contractions started and wouldn't stop. They put me on procardia and "bedrest". Last night again I had to be admitted for more contractions. They had me on a different medication all night and finally late today I was able to go home because they stopped.

But today I think I lost some of my mucus plug. This is my second baby and with my first I knew it was my plug. But I can't remember exactly how it looked... Every so often since last week I'll wipe and get like a clear slimmy discharge and sometimes little spots of bright red blood. And today I had like a chunk of white ish mucus looking stuff in the toilet and then more slimmyness and spots of blood when I wiped. The chunk of stuff wasn't clear like I think it's supposed to be... that's why I'm not sure.

The nurse checked me right after I had that and I'm still not dialated or anything thank God but I'm wondering if maybe I've been slowly losing my plug? Or maybe it's nothing? Any ideas?

Like I said I just knew with my first that I had lost my plug but this time I'm really not so sure. And I know it can be a few weeks before you even go into labor after losing it, I'm just more curious of what you think than anything.

even if it is your plug, it can regenerate itself
