so i am now 29weeks..well at my last appt 11/19 i was supposed to be 28weeks 4days and i was measuring at 30weeks 1day..well not only me but my mom,my MIL,my sister and all my friends keep sayign he will be born between the 20th and the 27th of december making me 33 weeks- 34weeks but since he is measuring big it is like almost 35 or so..well i keep getting told that if he comes at 33weeks he will be fine and might have to stay a few days thats about it..but since he is big even my doc said his lungs are gonna be mature here soon..and that if he could change my csection date he would but they are all backed up unless someone goes in to L&D and is in labor..so has anyone had a baby at 33weeks or 34weeks..how long did they stay in the NICU and how did they do when they were born...plz help...i need to know..im scared i have had back to back pregnancies..my oldest is 3 1/2,then i have a 26 almost 27 month old.then i have 16 almost 17 month old twins then im 29weeks pregnant..my twins were born at 29weeks and my labor came out of no where with them...so please ppl help me
first off, just because you are measuring a couple weeks ahead doesnt mean anything. was it ultrasound or fundal height. Fundal height in generally completely inaccurate and ultrasounds arent really the best either.
secondly, unless your water breaks, i would try and hold that baby in past 37 weeks because even if you have a baby at 33-34 weeks based on EDD doesnt mean your baby is at 33-34 weeks. your baby could be 30-31 weeks so you never know. but definitely try to keep that little one in longer. the longer they cook the better. good luck
ohh i plan on keeping him in as long as possible but im just wondering cuz each one of my pregnancies my mom has been right when they were gonna come..and sure enough each one of my kids came on the day my mom said..so thats why im worried..im scared if he tries to come sooner..the hospital i am going to said if i go into labor after 32 weeks they wont stop my labor cuz of my uterus cut from my last pregnancy..and my medical wont approve for me to deliver at a different hospital and i cant pay out of pocket for a different doctors office or to deliver at a different hospital..so im tryig to see if ppl have had babies born at 33-34 weeks and how did they do and how long did they stay in the hospital..im not trying to get him out early..cuz my csection day is january 11th at 36weeks 1day and thats by the hospital and my doctor..so please dont harp on me cuz until u get the full facts u dont know the whole story..
i had 29weekers and i dont wann have to worry bout the NICU and everythign again thats why im asking..my mom todl me i was gonna have my oldest on may 19th sure enough he came on may 19th..my mom said my daughter was gonna be born 2 days after my EDD with her and i was due the 11 of sept and sure enough my daughter came sept 13th...my mom told me i was gonna have my twins at 29 weeks almost 30 and sure enough my twins were born at 29 weeks 2days..and these are all by dreams that she had..and i keep having hte same ones...
my grandmother did the same exact thing with my sister and was right with my sisters kids before she passed away..i knwo it seems weird but my family is just like this we end up getting these dreams.. please dont call us crazy ..
I have no idea about the NICU stay, but just to comment on your family's dreams, my grandfather knew my mother was going into labor because of a dream and woke up in the middle of the night, pointing to a picture of my mother, then to his stomach over and over, signaling to my grandmother to call her. Sure enough! She was in labor and didn't tell anyone! My grandfather had no speech ability because of strokes.
