I would mainly because you have no idea how many ppl have touched that item while it was in the store and sometimes the detergents the manufacturers use are harsh and can make baby's sensitive skin break out or get a rash.

I really don't want to because what if he comes out bigger than expected and then never wears that outfit?

Yes! I washed all of her clothes, blankets, sheets, etc. It's good because of the chemicals used on everything. I don't want any of that stuff getting on my baby's skin.

I washed a couple things and as needed I washed more. I also didn't know what would fit and not so I just did a couple and when I got home I did more. There stuff is so small, I fit all of what I needed in one load.

I love the new clothes smell..but I do wash them because you just never know your baby could have sensitive skin (my son and hubby do). But I dont pre wash everything just 1 or 2 things..just want to make sure she is a girl B4 I pull tags off and wash stuff. Ill send hubby home to wash a load when she is born :O) he will be home with my son at night anyway so he will have time.

I wash mine just so they are soft and dont have the stiffness that some clothes have, and there are germs from whoever else touched them. I didnt wash everything when my son was born just in case he came out to be a girl. This time my sister in law gave me all her girl clothes so there is nothing to return if she comes out a boy, I will just have to wash all my sons old clothes if thats the case.

I wash them in dreft so they don't bother the baby's sensitive skin and also so they shrink up a little.
