Hi everyone! I'm in my first trimester of my first pregnancy and I'm freaking out here!! I had my first OB visit this past friday and my doctor told me I had a retroverted uterus. However he didn't really explain what that means. I did a little research on it and I'm so confused. Some sites say that *most* women go on to have a healthy normal pregnancy while others say that *most* women have a misscarriage. Now every little cramp I have is freaking me out. I have an ultrasound scheduled for Dec 1st, as he wanted to check and make sure everything was ok (yes I realize its early to have one at 10 weeks) but I don't know if I can wait that long.
Has anyone had this, or know anyone that has had this problem? What was the outcome?
Well I am not sure if this will help you not freak out so bad, my mom had a retroverted uterus, and she has 4 children. My sister also has a retroverted uterus and she has 2 children. Neither one had any complications due to their uterus while preg. I hope this helps you feel better.
dont know much about that type of uterus...if he was really really concerned, i would have thought he would have sent you for an ultrasound earlier
