UPTDATE i'm being induced TODAY yikes! Here she is PICS!
So my due date is today and so far i hear in my head TICK TOCK, TICK TOCK....nothing has happen...just irregular contractions....so when does labor start? this is my first and im thinking it was going to happen fast....who was a kidding. i saw my doc last week and he told me i was 1cm and 50% of my cervix was soft so what does that mean? can it take forever for this baby to come out. Let me just say she seems like she doesnt want to go any where
i have a very happy and active baby in there....but im dying to hold her and smell her....who much more do i have to wait for my lil princess? why is my body taking its sweet time? any advice? were you ladies over your due date before? are you over your due dates now? would you consider getting induced? ughhhhhh so much questions in my head.
UPDATE---
So i went to my doctors today for my weekly appoitment. We discussed us wanting to wait till the baby is ready. he checked to see if i dilated any more and i'm still 1cm 80%of my cervix is thinned. He then proceeded with an usltrasound to check the baby and the anmontic fluid and he saw that there is much in there for me to go past this week pregnant. I have been leaking and really no complaining because i thought it was normal. So now if my baby is not here by friday then he will be inducing me on Nov 27th.
I feel like i failed as a mother...i feel really really sad:0( i fear a c-section, if i dont dilate. im just so scared overall.

Hi ladies!!! im leaving at 4:30pm to go get induced. what was your experience with induction? share you stories with me plz. so nervous.
Final outcome 11/28/09
So i went to the hospital for a scheduled induction on 11/27/09. i got to the hospital at 5pm. they started the cervidill however its spelled. i woke up at 3am with serious contractions. i was yelling and screaming for meds. i did try to go as long as i could without meds but at 7am i couldnt take it anymore and an epidural was giving to me since a was contracting every minute. mind u the pitocen wasnt even given to me yet till 12pm. i was only 3cm after all the pain and contractions. after the epidural they gave me the pitocen to make my labor go in to effect more. but nothing. at 4pm my doctor decided to break my water. after a long 4 hours and my baby heart rate dropped which i freaked out. i had enough. the my doctor finally came in at 7pm and said this isnt progessing and he has concern for the baby and me. so we came to a desicion me and my husband that a c-section was best for us. i finally had my little one at 7:47pm on 11/28/09. This is my first baby and i wouldnt trade anything i went thru for the world...because she was well worth everything i went thru and i would do all over again in a heartbeat! ladies enjoy the pics and mostly enjoy your pregnancy and you little bundle of joy. its a blessing!
HERE SHE IS Samantha Ava Colon 6 pounds 5 ounces 18.75 inches long.
aw i hope you get to hold her in your arms soon . my oldest dd just turned six today! good luck!
Aw you poor thing. I went 9 days early with both my babies ...I could not imagine waiting any longer so I feel for you!! My advice is just to get your butt up and walk walk walk...go shopping, go to the park, just get out and walk!! 1cm and 50% effaced means your body is getting ready for labor : ) I was 4cm for 2 weeks so it could be a while or hell could happen right now!!...have your drs talked about inducing you? Or do you want to wait it out?? Congrats mama!! xoxo

Well i dont want be induced...thats what im trying to avoid....but if by next week she's not here then we are going to consider induction. im getting signs of early labor but nothing yet...last night i had real strong contractions and they come and go every 20 to 30 minutes and i just had diarrhea with pressure in mt lower adonimal....so im praying tonight or tomorrow....im crossing my fingers. your very lucky you went 9 days early thas awsome!!
I had my DD 6 days early. All we did is have sex. LOTS of it. :)

Yeah I would def. be scared to be induced...but hey if that's what you gotta do ...it will be fine : ) With both I never had any false labor or false contractions so hopefully youre getting close!! xoxo

I heard that too but about 2 weeks before I went into labor .. the dr. put her hand up me she said she could feel the head...there was NO way in hell I was allowing my man's manhood go near my babies head LOL

HAHA!!! thats what my husband keeps telling me....he cant have sex because all he thinks about is our baby head...lol so we are holding off...plus it hurts me when we have sex.
Sorry to hear nothing is happening yet, I know how you feel! I'm 2 weeks late tomorrow and apparently scheduled for an induction that i didn't know about but I'm not going! And I was even freaked out this baby would be too early because I've been having contractions for months but no, it's the exact opposite, she is super late! My first baby was 3 days early too. Don't feel bad it is normal for women to not have their babies by their due dates. You will most likely go into labor before you hit 42 weeks, I don't think it's very common to go past 42 weeks but it does happen, look at me! I want nothing more than to not be pregnant anymore, I think I am going to just start bawling uncontrolably out of happiness when this baby is not in me anymore! But the waiting and waiting to me is better than an induction! i hope your baby decided to come out soon!
I completely feel your pain! This is my first baby too and I am due tomorrow and aside from inconsistant contractions, there are no other signs that she will be showing up. At least you are dilated....I wasn't dilated when she checked me last week. I won't have her check me this week if I make it to my appointment. I know dilation doesn't really matter but it was a little dissapointing. I am soft and thinning out though so I guess that's a good thing. I am so scared that I will have to get induced though....I had a complete meltdown last week over it. So, I'm doing everything I can to try natural methods so hopefully this will all work to get her out of me this week. Good luck to you....hopefully you will go into labor on your own very soon.
