are you supposed to add a year to your age for the chinese gender predictions?

I read in another group that your supposed to add a year. So example I'm 20 but when I do it I add a year so I would be 21. Because apparently the chinese consider you a year old from birth. Anyone else know if its true?

Well I'll put it this way, it is accurate for me if I go by my actual age. I use the one that you do the month you conceived and how old you will be when the baby is born. Easiest way is to figure out what your age is or will be in the lunar year when you are due. The other one that is just your age at conception has not been nearly as accurate for me, friends & family!

Check this one out...Ok here is my story...With my first the regular calenders predicted a boy. I had a boy. With my second ones it predicted a girl. I had a boy. Now Everyone in my family has two babies of the same sex back to back before they have the opposite sex. I really really think that #3 is going to be a girl with me and only this chinese calender predicted it. But it was very confusing at first to get so let me know if you need help. I am gonna go back and check my other pregnancies and see if it predicts them right!!

UPDATE with my first  it predicted correctly...I have no idea when I conceived with my second so I couldn't check him.

you add a year to your age and go back 1 month from conception....so if you conceived in Oct look at it from Sept
