I'm such a mess with this baby, I don't know what to do. *maybe TMI*
This has been such an eventful pregnancy compared to my last... This is just baby number two. Not only have I been 10 times sicker with this one, I am seriously feeling alot more. I forgot to take my prenatal the other night, so I took it yesterday morning, causing me to hug the toilet all morning, since they make me sick. Normally I take a warm bath to make myself feel better and it helps tremendously. Not only did it make me feel better, it relaxed me to the point where I fell asleep in the tub. My head was on the ledge, so I wasn't going to slip in... But I still find it so pathetic that my husband has been taking care of our daughter more than I have because I have been so sick.
Not just that, I have been feeling a tremendous amount of pressure in my pelvic area, especially on my tailbone. AND I have had really strong BH contractions. My doctor said I can feel them alot more than normal because of my prior c section. She didn't even check me, and I just have a feeling I may be a little dialated. I could be SO wrong, it's just a feeling I have...
And, I never cried when I was pregnant with my DD. I have been crying at least 3 times a day over nothing, really. I cried in the line at the grocery store because I was getting WIC and I didn't get the right brand... I cry when I listen to sad songs. I cried at the movie "Walk Hard" which is supposed to be funny. Why would anyone cry at that???
I just can't wait for this long road to be over. And suggestions on what I can do to just keep calm and NOT stress??
I'm Amanda, wifey to Barry and mommy to Jenna and baby number two.
I cried becasue I ate a pack of skittles one day. LOL. It's normal and every pregnancy is different so just because you weren't sick as much in your last pregnancy doesn't mean that you should worry. If you feel that you are dialating you should go to the emergency room to have them check you or make an appointment with your doctor so she can ease your worries. Most likely I think you're going to be fine. The nausea part is tough believe me. I hated having to go to the restroom and I would be in there for half and hour trying to feel better. I can't stand throwing up but the baby will just make it come up so you might as well make your self comfortable in the bathroom.
It's also great that you have your husband helping you out. Let him know that you appreciate it and you'll try to help him out as much as you can but you're always nauseated and not feeling well. =)
Oh mama I understand!! This pregnancy is different for me too. At least you're not in my shoes....I am stuck in the hospital on bedrest until I deliver. I have complete placenta previa and had a bleed so they are keeping me now. UGH!! It sucks soooo bad. I have a 3 year old at home and it's killing me to be away from him. How far along are you?? If I don't go before, they will schedule my c-section for 36 weeks. You are not alone!! Just take it one day at a time like I am. Before we know it our angels will be here!!! Hang in there mama!!
Oh boy do I understand! My first trimester I could barely move much less care for my 2 year old son and the 2 year old I watch. When I was pregnant with my son I had ALL of the energy in the world back at the 2nd trimester but this time I'm exhaused by noon daily.
Oh, and I feel my c-section scar if it helps. It hurts when she pokes at it :(

Ohh, wow. I feel for you! I have only seen stuff like that on TV, I can't imagine being there! How far are you now?? && You are too sweet, I will do just that. I have a longer road ahead of me than you do. And your baby will be perfect. Just a little bitty thing, but trust me, doctors and nurses know exactly what they are doing :)

Aww, I don't want to be that annoying patient, so I told myself I would wait for next appionment and just take it easy till then. I can;t stand up for long because I get so weak. I have to wash my hair in the tub because I can't stand long enough to wash my hair.
&& I tell my husband every night how thankful I am that he is there, because he works during the day, hard. Then comes home and helps me with DD. I usually let her do what she wants since I am usually feeling bad... Bad habit, but I don't know what else to do...

So sorry you are suffering so much. Would you consider asking your doc for the morning sickness med? (I dont remember it's proper name)
If you are feeling weak, and so ill ALL the time, hopefully she will schedule you an Ultra sound and see how things are going so far. You should be having one at 20 weeks anyway?
Try the soda crackers before you get up..(I found pretzels helped even more), then get up slowly. I hope you start feeling better soon. Isn't 16 weeks supposed to be the start of the "honeymoon phase" of pregnancy?
Just make sure you keep yourself hydrated, and keep us posted on how you are feeling.
Gentle hugs
I know this is a dumb question, but what exactly are soda crackers???
But other than that, thanks so much!!! I love it when people post stuff like this that is SO helpful. Not that I don't like the other posts. But this is helpful.

LOL Amanda..sorry...soda crackers..I think you call saltines? You know..like Premium Plus, we put in our soups...or eat with cheese?
One more thing...ginger is really good...and so are bananas. Just eat very small portions of whatever you choose, and rest every chance you can. Dont worry about your dh working and then looking after you and your daughter...you would do the same thing for him...and he loves you, and just wants to help you.
