What was the first article of maternity clothing you wore? Was it a dress, pants, a shirt? I wore the shirts first, I found some cute ones that I liked, but esspcially with my first I had a hard time wanting to put on those pants... after the first one though I didn't care, and it was a good thing because I had to start wearing them at 6 weeks with the next two!

with my first baby i was able to fit my big butt in my jeans and wear them unbuttoned with a belly band so i really only had to wear the shirts. This time i was smaller in size before i got preggo so now i cant fit in my pants at all so the first thing i got this time were the maternity pants. I just bought another pair last week from target and it has the band that goes all the way up to the top of the belly and they are SO comfortable!!!!

hahaha, I just put all my maternity stuff away about 4months ago and then lost about 20lbs so I put my size bigger clothes away too. So, now I find out I'm pregnant again, only a little over 6 weeks now, but my pants already are starting to bug me and hurt! So, I'm sure I'll be pulling stuff back out soon! But pants first, cause I get big really low really quickly!
Definitely the pants! I also wore belly bands with my regular pants unbuttoned. I didn't start wearing maternity tops until about 6 months with my first. Now I am 8 weeks and my waistbands are already starting to bother me, so I'm pulling out the belly bands again.
I think last time I had less self confidence before getting pregnant and my pants just must have been loose because i wore them with a hair band for months! over the last 2 years I have grown to love my child-bearing shaped hips and my slightly plumper behind so my jeans have gotten more shapely so I couldn't fit in them at all from like 3 months on lol! but I did find some shirts from target that are just regular shirts that happen to be extra long so I have 2 pairs of maternity jeans that I was often to justify the price!!! and just one maternity shirt which I hardly wear since its long sleeved and the weather around here is crazy for november this year...(honestly we live in MD and its 65 out today when it should be about 40 or even 35)

Um, I never STOPPED wearing my maternity clothes.. LOL. Maternity clothes (at least the ones I own) are just not huge tents like they used to be! Because I have c-sections (extreme medical reasons) I find the softer tummy area more comfortable, and because I have a small waist (compared to thighs and derriere, LOL) maternity pants actually fit my waist better than regular pants! As for maternity shirts, the couple extra inches I get in the tummy area make these shirts perfect for nursing in, when doubled with a camisole worn under and tucked in! In my defense, modern maternity clothes are made to fit from beginning to end! By the time I have lost all of my "baby fat" and are ready to get into a much smaller size, I am getting pregnant again (a little over two years later). This is just what works for me, though! :o)
My wedding dress...i couldnt find one in my size...so i went to the maternity store...found a beautiful white dress...and that was the first thing i wore...for this pregnancy (maternity clothes wise)..but with my first child...i wore those strechy pants..forgot what they are called
Yeah, those pants are comfortable, I got mine from Motherhood Maternity. They have the secret fit belly, which isn't so secret once you hit about 3 - 4 months. Lol. My sister in law asked me if they make my belly itch, they don't. I wore them with my last pregnancy and I'm wearing them again this time.

the shirts, mine always seem to let my belly hang out even when there really isn't a big belly lol
