i am 31wks (2moro actually) and i had my doc appt today...my doc askd me if i felt like i have grown and i said i noticed not as much. so she checked everything out and measured me.

measuring right on track, but she noticed his head is down and that i dropped already. im only 31wks....is it too early for me to already have dropped??

does this mean i may go earlier then my due date?

im just worried because i didnt drop with my dd but went into preterm labor twice with my dd at 34 and 35 wks....and had a scheduled csection at 38wks so im not sure how my body will actually handle this pregnancy and labor since i didnt get to really go into labor with my first

It is pretty soon. With my 3rd child I dropped at 33 weeks and my midwife kept me on bedrest till 36 weeks.

Hm, I am not sure! My little man is already head down at 30 weeks..which I am very excited about because I am trying for a VBAC. My daughter was breech, and I was told that all of my babies would be so it was a shock to see him in the right position!

Good luck, I hope you don't have to go through preterm labor this time!

I will be 34 weeks tomorrow and i have dropped already. i was in the hospital on saturday having contractions that were 3 mins apart but i wasn't feeling them and i wasn't dialiated at all. and after 12 hours of being there they checked me again and i still hadn't dialated at all. they gave me meds to stop the contractions and i am now, not really on bed rest, but i have to "take it easy" for the next week. so no work for me! and then if i've dialted any by next monday then i go on bedrest.  so good luck!!! I just dropped this past week at 33 weeks, so hopefully your LO will stay in there for a while. and won't cause you too much pain like mine is lol.

yep, that was the only reason why. I wasn't dialating or anything.

Wow....it's rather odd that they'd tell you that ALL of your babies would be breech just because the first one was. Even though breech presentation is slightly more common in ANY subsequent pregnancy, regardless of the position of the first one, unless you have a uterine abnormality or something there's absolutely no reason to assume that. (DO you have a uterine abnormality LOL?)

Ach.......doctors LOL *rolls eyes*
