So i'm measuring at 42 weeks (as of last wednesday at 37 weeks) and I wanted to see if anyone else went though this?

I know it could be more fluid, or he might just be big. But I was also thinking, that my boys had big heads and were born at 37 weeks. And this one hasn't dropped any more, but I think if he were to drop anymore, he'd be out. I had vag. births with them. I am starting to wonder if maybe he has a large head, or is to big so he might not be able to 'drop' anymore, or start labor on his own? (does that mase sense?)

I know every pregnancy is different, so I am just tossing out ideas. I have an appointment tomorrow, but I'm bored, and thinking about random stuff. lol

Try not to overthink things.

You have done this before.    They had big heads...    You did it-- you can do it again.

If you have a "proven pelvis" then you are a normal-healthy-safe-fine mom.

The pelvis is not one fixed bone.   The bones can seperate a lot!   If you squat you can open the outlet over 30%, too!    (That is a lot!)   And baby's (big?) head will mold (fold inward) as well.

Even if your baby is/will be "big" there are more reasons that things will be fine than not.

:-)

I have been measuring 7 weeks ahead since I was 29 week. I have been severely uncomfortable. They gave my a third ultrasound when I was 35 weeks and found out that my LO was growing right on track. So I asked my midwife why I measuring so big and she said it could be because that I have so much amniotic fluid. Mine measured at a 14 which is a good amount. I hate being this big just because I CANNOT move half the time!!!

To the best of my knowledge, subsequent babies don't drop until labor begins. I wouldn't worry too much! Babies are made for their mommies. GL, mama!

i measured 2 weeks ahead with both girls

dd#1 was 9pds 4 at 39 weeks 5 days

dd#2 was 9 pds 12.3 at 39 weeks 5 days

maybe the baby is just big

Ive been measuring 5 weeks over also. But my ultrasound showed a normal 50th percentile baby, and my fluid was normal. IDK why Im measuring so large, the dr. wasnt too worried, he just said he would keep an eye on me.
