For those who have gotten pregnant on Mirena

I got pregnant with the Mirena...after having it for over a year. It was placed properly and everything. I'd go in for a blood draw if you're at all concerned that you may be pregnant. My pregnancy turned out to be ectopic, which I was told by my last doctor, was more common in pregnancies with women that have a Mirena placed. My current doctor confirmed this when I asked her about it.

I'm DEF not trying to worry you, just my experience, there are many women who go on to have happy and healthy pregnancies! But it needs to be removed right away or there could be problems

I too got pregnant on the mirena.  I don't remember my boobs feeling full or any of that to cause me to want to test.  I remember craving certain foods and then when I would eat them, they would taste weird and almost make me sick.  Do you know when your period is due (if you are having one)?  If not, they tell you to wait 19 days after you last had unprotected sex to take a HPT.  I agree with the pp, get blood work done if you suspect pregnancy.

Thanks ladies.  I've heard about the etopic pregnancies with Mirena.  I'm going to test this morning just in case.  I haven't had a period since last Christmas.  The pink cervical mucus I had on Saturday puzzled me.
