Hi ladies! I'm very interested in getting an electric breast-pump, but have no clue how to select one and was wondering about brands and if yall had any experience you could share on them.
With my daughter I had a handheld manual avent, and it hurt my wrist after a while to use it. Then a friend gave me a single electric one that was really loud but got the job done. Because I was working so much my supply went down and then I got a hospital grade one from the WIC office- but by then it was too late and my daughter had weened herself anyhow. This time I'm not going to give up! But I need input on which pump to get. I'm going to be scouring ebay until close to when I'm due, I'm all about a bargain deal!
Thanks!

I have the medela swing and I LOVE IT! I don't want a huge, double automatic thingy sucking my boobs dry all the time. I wanted one that was easy to use, comfortable, compact and not $400 and I found it!
With my first I didn't pump it was just straight feeding for 3 weeks, but with this one I am looking for an electric pump as well. I took a breast feeding class (had to for WIC) and they pointed out several times that you want to get one with the different settings so you can slow down and speed up the suction. Seeing how its been 7 years since I even looked at a breast pump, I don't think I can help much but what I have done and well still doing is going to like target.com and reading customer reviews on the breast pumps. That is actually helping me make my decision.
I love my Medela Pump in Style. Granted I've only been using it for a few days but it is really nice. I like that it comes in a discrete bag so that when I go back to work I don't feel so awkward carrying it around too.
I have tried lots of pumps but my Medela Pump in Style is the best of the best. I can get triple the amount of milk with it.

I used this, and I agree it is a great pump. Worth the money for sure!
