Ok so I got this kick count thing from my Dr yesterday and on one side it has a chart to keep track of blood pressure and all that so that if i go to the hospital they have an idea and whatnot. so it says the height of fundus is 336, that is the uterus size from top to bottom right?? so i am 34 weeks, is that about right?? I'm just curious what measurement they are using, anyone know?? Thanks!!
if you are 34 weeks, they probably said 36. it is measured in cm. it usually is the same amount of weeks you are. for example 34 cm at 34 weeks. it is normal to vary by 1-2 weeks. i measured 2 weeks ahead the whole time, which they say doesnt mean anything, but in my case it did, my baby was 9 lb 5 oz!
Yeah fundus size is from the top of our uterus to bottom and my OB said that as long as you measure within 4 cm of how far along you are that it's normal. This week I measured 31 weeks even though I was 32 weeks along and she said I'm doing great. The only way the fundus measurement doesnt apply is if you are pregnant with more than 1 baby.
