I'm having a terrible lower back pain right now, that I can't find a comfortable position in this chair, sorry I had to vent, I'm at work but even last night when I was trying to sleep it took me so long to fall asleep 'cause every position is bothering my lower back, I really would like this pregnancy to finish soon, but I know she still needs those 5 weeks in there, Oh Lord, somebody what can I do here at work to feel better? :(
apply heat and muscle rub. (you can get the unscented muscle rub to use at work) and of course there's always whine and moan and groan. That's what I do! LOL! I am so miserable and I just want all the pain to be over with.
All i can suggest is putting a pillow between your legs at the knees when laying down. But you may be able to relieve the pain by getting on all fours and breathing. If it's sciatic pain or general pain from the baby's position getting on all fours can sometimes get the baby to move enough to make you comfortable.
I had some lower back pain a few weeks ago and actually went to a walk in clinic for some relief. They gave me a muscle relaxer (Flexeril, which is OK during pregnancy) and told me that I should use my corn bag (heat it up in the microwave) for pain relief. It worked and I don't have any pain anymore.
I was having terrible back pain. It was sooo bad I couldn't even walk. Nothing worked, heat, ice...NOTHING!! I ended up seeing a chiro that treated pregnant women. I was terrifed to go but my obgyn suggested it and let me tell you it was the BEST decision I ever made. It turns out my pelvis was misalligned and he gently popped it back into place and I have had little to no lower back pain since. It's been so nice. Just something to think about...

Needless to say that my husband had to come get me because it me feel like I was drunk! lol When we got home I was already passed out in the car, he carried me in and I woke up the next morning at 6:30am. I slept from 5:15pm to 6:30am! I was knocked out!

Between the weight you you have gain tht is pulling on your back muscle and causing pain. YOu should consider doing some yoag strecthing exercises to help loosen up your back. Sometimes it can be the baby's back of its head resting on your spine as well. This is also what causes back labor. The best way to shift baby is to a few times a day to encourage baby to rotate around to the front by getting on your hands and knees and letting your belly hang down for 5- fifteen mins. You can rub your belly to encourage baby to rotate at the same time. Best of luck to all your Mommas!
