How far apart will be good?

I know I am getting WAY ahead of myself but I love thinking about it!! I was wondering how far apart will be best to have my second child? I will be having my first in april. And we want to try to plan the second one to be born in winter maybe november or december. What would you all recommend the time span being? 1 1/2 years? 2 1/2 or 3 1/2? I know that we will get pregnant when god forbids but I want to atleast try to plan. What are the pro' s and con's of being 1,2, or 3 years apart?

I really like mine a year apart. It makes for really great playmates!

Mine are two years and two months apart. I really have my hands full and don't sleep much since the baby stays awake until 2 or 3 every morning and my son wakes up at 7 or 8 every morning. It will get better. It's a little harder for me though since my son is developmentally delayed. He doesn't talk and chokes on all his food, among other things. He requires more attention than a usual 2 year old. I would say 3 years would be good.

in a month we are having our 3rd.  our first two are 4 years apart, which is a little further than we had initially wanted, but i miscarried and there was no controlling that.   but it turned out great!  our oldest is really helpful with her sister and the little one (now 2) just LOVES her big sister.  i worry a little bit about how that's going to play out when they're teenagers, but right now it's really great.  and then our youngest two will be exactly ( i mean, within a matter of weeks, maybe days) 2 years apart.  i wasn't comfortable with anything closer than that, and we'll see how they do.  the baby isn't born yet -  but with the way our little one acts around other babies, i think she's going to be an awesome big sister.

My oldest and my twins are 2 years 3 days apart.  It was tough at first because I had 2 babies, and didn't get to give my oldest all of the attention she needed, but now it's great!  Lily is 3 and the babies are 13 months and they play together so well. The new baby and the twins will be about 18 months apart so we will see how that goes, I think it will be fine.  I think 2 or 3 years apart is perfect!

my first two are 13 months apart and as much work it is, they are best of friends and im so happy it worked out they are so close.  they are 1 and 2 and they keep eachother busy all day.  sure they fight and i have to play with them, but they would rather play with eachtoher than a un-cool momma.  ;)  this next one will be 25 months apart from the 1 year old.  so, hopefully he/she will be able to join the club.

Grady will be 3 1/2 when this baby is born.  He is so excited about his baby sister and really is very into babies right now.  I think he's at a great age for a sibling.

My best friend's two boys are 2 years 3 months apart and wow, I feel for her.  We went out the other day and she's trying to keep a  2 year old in line (which isn't easy to begin with) while her infant is crying because he no longer wants to sit in the infant carrier.  They are both still in diapers, both need a lot of help.  I actually thought her gap would be better, but now seeing it I am glad we waited.

Ours will be 15 months apart. I knows its going to be alot of work but I think they will be closer because of it :) (We didnt plan it though....we were going to wait until our son was 2.)
