Tubal Pregnancies

I had a tubal pregnancy October 2008 where the tube ruptured and I lost over half of my blood volume, my left tube, my baby, almost died leaving my 2 girls and a hubby. Most everyone says they wont abort for any reason. Well i almost died because the baby implanted in my left fallopian tube. We never saw a heartbeat, we never heard it. Now I would have rather died than than terminating the pregnancy but I have 2 girls that need me. A hubby that needs me. So Am I a bad person for almost dying for my child that ruptured my fallopian tube. I took the mexitricate shot which isnt always successful which proved when my tube ruptured.

You have to have a tubule removed!! The baby will/can not grow in your tube. So on one should ever tell you or class that as aborting a baby

I hope they dont. I didnt have any surgery prior the tube rupturing. I let nature take her course. I did take that shot but I knew in my heart it wasnt going to work. My tube ruptured and I almost died for my baby even tho I had two girls at home and a hubby.

your pregnancy could never be viable with implanting in the tube.  save one life or loose two?   you tell me.  you never were able to hear the heart beat either.  i have yet to hear of a viable tubal pregnancy.   i think what a lot of women refer to not aborting for any reason, is if there could be a viable pregnancy but life threatening to them, they would choose the baby.  if that makes sense.  but in your case, there could never be a viable pregnancy.  so sorry to hear your loss.  a tubal pregnancy is one of my greatest fears, so i can only imagine what you went through.

I've had two tubals, and I've had trouble with this.  I KNOW I would have died without emergency surgery, and there was no chance of the baby surviving.  In some instances, ectopic babies can survive and grow, but our babies wouldn't have made it.  God knows if we could have transplanted them into the right spot we would have.  It's not your fault, and there's no way anyone could point a finger at you.  If anyone has a problem with your life being saved, send them over to me.  I'd slap 'em around a little bit :)  Happy Thanksgiving!  I'm thankful for healthy babies in the right place.

I agree with all the other posters, It's a loss. You did nothing wrong.

I do not count a tubal pregnancy as an abortion.  There is no possible way that child will live to see birth and if it is not taken care of the mother won't live either.  Sometimes the doctors tell the mother she cannot carry to term because it will kill her but she makes it.  This is NOT one of those cases!
