About how long after your mucus plug falls out do you go into labor round about. I can't get ahold of my brother who is supposed to come and stay with us this weekend but mine just fell out. I am worried that he will not be here when I need him to be. I have no one else that I can ask to come and sit with the kids except my hubby. My MIL is ...... and my mom can't come because of my younger brother and my step-dad has to be watched constantly. So, I am wondering about a time line round about here. I know that it is not something that can predicted, but just worried.

it can be days or weeks before you go into actual labor after losing your mucus plug... try and stay calm **hugs**

I personally know of moms that have gone for weeks, even months before having their labor start.
Myself:   (2 babies)

~a week before labor started
~a few minutes before pushing baby out

true, i have heard of ppl losing their plug right before going into active labor, but i myself with my dd1 i lost it nearly a month before i had her. with dd2 i lost it a week before i was induced four weeks early.... so i could have potentially gone another four weeks

There's no telling. " they" say you should go into labor within 24-48 hours of losing it, otherwise it repairs itself. I have been losing mine with bloody show for 2 weeks and still haven't gone into labor. I wouldn't panic yet. I could still be weeks.
