You should talk to your doctor about it just to be on the safe side. Sometimes it's normal to have some cramping during the pregnancy as long as it's not severe. I mean anything can trigger it like being hungry, thirsty or tired. I've have alot of cramping here and there but mostly back and hip pains. This is my 3rd child and so my doctor recommended doing some prenatal yoga to help relax and strengthen my muscles. Maybe you could do that as well. The cramping could come from your body changing due to the pregnancy especially with this being your first baby. I hope I helped and congratulations.

IF the cramping is constant chances are you need water. My dr said if you think you drink enough water, drink more. Also, if you are standing to sitting, sitting to laying etc. a full bladder can cause cramping, i was getting them bad when i went to bed, but my dr told me to completly empty my bladder first. So i did and no more cramping. If it continues i would go in to just make sure that your uturus is ok and doesn't need a stich.

Thanks!!! Ill have to look into that yoga. Ive always wanted to do yoga anyways so that just adds to it. Ive noticed that like you said it does happen a lot when Im thirsty. So maybe thats always the problem.. Thanks again!! :)

You may be cramping from the way the baby is positioned inside. I didn't really have cramping at 17 weeks but I did have some pains like someone was knocking over all my insides. I don't really know how to explain it so I said it that way. When is your next appointment? If your babies heartbeat is strong and your doctor isn't worried then you shouldn't be. Eat healthy and drink lots of water. It's important to drink a lot of water during the day to keep you hydrated and it helps the baby. Although I recall whenever I don't drink water I feel a little crampy. That may be it.

I still sometimes I feel like I am fixing to start my period. I have told the dr and she said some women will cramp but as long as there is no bleeding everthing is okay but to relax alittle cause all the worrying isnt good for you. Sometimes if you have some gas built up it could make you feel like you going to start she told me that to and dont hold it in (gas) I cant let it out in some places you never know it might stink lol. Seriously relax okay and if it is really bugging you call your dr I know how you are feeling with my 1st I didnt cramp and with this one I do and it worries the heck out of me so I when I feel a cramp coming on I try to think of something else bc if I dont I start to cry thinking something is wrong
