Have you had complications like this?

Okay I am almost 35 weeks pregnant and was put on bed rest because I was having regular contractions.  I am already 70% effaced and dialated to a 2 and somewhere between a -3 to a -2.  I am in so much pain and been having complications so bad.  When do you think I will deliver this baby?  I am just so frustrated and bored and cranky.

I was 26 weeks and put on bedrest at 50 percent effaced, and 1 cm dialated.  I had my boys at 36 weeks.  Stay calm and do not get up unless you have to go to the bathroom, make your showers as short as possible.  Otherwise stay in bed and have people get you food and fluids!! Try not to sit up that much, mainly lay down.

You will probably deliver in a few weeks if you do the bedrest the way your Dr told you to.  No trying to do things for yourself, otherwise it will be sooner. Take this as a rest time that you will need!!

I was put on bedrest at 30 weeks for having contrations.. normally they were regulated but not always. And they where long areas that they where like 3-4 days. And I was at 1cm and 60% then went to 2cm and 80% at 35 weeks and didn't have him till I was 3 days away from my due date. So theres really no saying.

I have been doing everything possible but unfortunately I am home by myself so I have to also get my food and drink too.  I dont have any one to help me that is another reason why I get so frustrated.

I didn't have complications with my 1st, but I would guess it won't be too long. Since you're already 35w I wouldn't worry too bad hun, your bun only needs a tad bit more cooking and they will be just fine. Like the pp sad, just relax, do as LITTLE as possible, be as annoying as necessary to get what you need without getting it yourself! Most Drs consider 37w full term, and dilated to a 2 really isn't that far. I'm not sure about effacing, never really looked that up with my 1st. I would try my best not to stress. And sound like pretty soon you're gonna be a mama! Congrats!

I got a mini fridge to put by my bed while was at work. He would make me sandwiches and things like that and put it in there.

Get some capri suns, water bottles, things that you think can be room temperature if you don't already have a mini fridge..no need to buy one if you wont use it later. Then buy foods you can eat out of a package that don't need to be refrigerated.  Or eat simple foods like cereal so it is less time on your feet getting it.

Make everything as simple as possible.  I know it is hard I remember those days and I was stressed too.  You can do it!

Unfortunately no I have't had this problem but I have a friend who had her baby 10 wks premie, she was stuck on bed rest after 20 wks beause she went into labor at 19 wks. She was going crazy and even staying in bed all the time she still had her daughter early. It drove her crazy but it was better to follow doc's orders than to lose the baby. Her daughter has some issues like how she matures ad which milestones she hits are later because she was early but she's still healthy. You'll be alright chick just remember you only have 3 wks til you're safe to deliver if you do. 36 wks is doable and safe but at least 38 wks is preferred. Good luck Momma!
