i want a home birth so bad. SO isnt fond of the idea and has told me no. but as we found out last night, once this baby gets here, us getting to a hospital is going to be very hectic. i want a home birth. i feel more comfy with a home birth.
but i havent given up. im still bugging SO about it. he says we cant afford it, esp. this late in the pregnancy. but what im wandering is will they still charge us the 2500-3000 since we only have a few weeks left? basically all i need the midwife for is to deliver the baby at this point.
i wouldnt do a home, but i love the idea of one. im just to scared, im going to a birthing center i hope!
I am a 22 year old, anytime-anywhere breatfeeding, co-sleeping, baby wearing, let HIM decided when he is to wean, extended rear facing, have CIO, happily married ost of the time, dog owning, pit bull loving, horse backing riding mommy to a wonderful boy, Nolan Joshua, who was born on Dec 13, 08 weighing 10.8 pounds and 22 inches long.
we live out in BFE (bum f--k eqypt) so if i was to go to a birthing center, i mid as well go to the hospital ive been going to. ive even had the evil thought of "accidentally" not recognizing im in labor in time, that way i have to deliver at home, but i know in reality id be scared out of my mind to do it alone, without someone who knows what theyre doing.

oh god!!! i know that the closet birthing center to me is 1 1/2 hours and they dont do water birth.... so idk i want a water so im gunna keep looking but i might try to brave it and a home birth idk yet tho. we livw in the middle of bum fuck va. closet hospital is 40 mins.

i also want a water birth. and theres only one hospital that is close enough that i have a chance of even making it to in time that does them. which is another reason i want a home birth. i can birth how ever i want at home.
I would call every midwife/cnm in your area and see. Make your hubs watch business of being born and other videos that show how safe and awesome home births can be. If you only need someone there for the birth and all your other care has been taken care of by the doctor I'm sure it wont cost near as much.
