I am thinking about getting the Mirena I was just wanting to know can you still have oral sex and can your man still finger you amd can you still use sex toys??? Sorry if TMI but these are things that I want to know and cant find answer to!!! THANKS... And Tell you how you guys like Mirena???
Yes you can do all that stuff still... I know not everyone has had a bad experience with it... But I did... I was moody (snapping at anyone and anything), gained all the weight I lost after I had the baby back and can't get it off for the life of me!!! I lost alot of hair and so many other things... It was just horrible!!! But like I said some will tell you they love it... I ended up getting mine out b/c it made that much of a impact on my everyday life... Just make sure your Dr and you talk about it and know all the risks that come along with it!!! GL!!!
I used the mirena for two years. It was horrible. The first year was fine but when I got to the second year I was still losing my hair in clumps and the doctor told me it was because I EBF'd but I stopped and my hair was still falling out. I will never get that again. I bled extremely bad and very painful periods when I did have one. I also would bleed for more than 2 weeks at a time. I got really sick to where I was vomiting, having bad headaches, vision issues. I was really tired all the time. There was so much that happened to me while on the Mirena that I cannot even remember everything.
Oh and yes you can still do all what you listed but my s/o complained every single time that the wire poked him on his penis. My doctor had it as short as he could too.
I had it and it was great. I did not get a period for almost 5 years! You will save a lot of money on tampons! lol! The only problem was that my hubbs could feel it in the last year, but only the last year. If you get that prob in the beginning, you can ask them to trim the strings.
i had the iud i had bad side effects from it. It gave me a ovarian cyst which went away after my hormones settled down but hurt like a SOB for months!!
My sex drive disappeared (we normally have sex 4 times a week ) i was dryer than the desert (never had that issue before) !! toys are fine, so is oral. make sure they cut your strings short or your hubby will be able to feal them. Also after i got the mirena my hubby couldnt penetrate deep or i would scream in pain. I overall had a HORRIBLE experience with it.
my girl friends all have it though and love it . when i had it taken out the Doc office said alot of people have negative side effects hopefully you dont good luck
im terrified of it.. my sister in law had it and it welt through her uterus and into her stomach cavity, and she needed surjury to get it removed... i also googled it and read about some more cases where the SAME thing happened.. it scres the living crap outta me, id never get it
