Subchorionic Hemorrhage

Has anyone else ever had a subchorionic hemorrhage or hematoma??? Just worried and wondered if anyone had gone through this before?Oh and i guess i also want to ask... how long did you stop having sex afterwards???

I had a  huge gush of blood  on Wednesday, and i was a thousand percent sure we lost the baby(since we  had a MC in sept.) And we were moving, so i had to wait until Thursday to go to an ER. We had seen the baby heartbeat and all on Monday(12/14), and  it was normal.. But at the ER on thursday night there was a subchorionic hematoma  around the sac. Baby looked great, just terrified about  the hemorrhage and if it will resolve itself like the dr says it normally does. I havent bled at all since Thursday morning, and was just told to take it easy, light activity, no lifting, and lots of fluids until i can be seen by a new OB here. Im just nervous about all of this and praying everything works out. We have a heartbeat and a healthy bean this time, but of course something ELSE has to be wrong!!!

I also had the same condition with my first pregnancy it started @ week nine and I continued to bleed until week 14. However the er told me i was going to lose my baby! Thankfully I didn't and i have a happy healthy 19 month old Daughter. Best of luck mama!!

I had one with my 4th pregnancy.  I was on bedrest for over half the pregnancy  and I think I was between 26-28 weeks before I could have sex again.

I have a subchrionic blood clot too.  When i was 9 weeks along i started bleeding and i really thought i was losing the baby.  I went to the doc the next day (b/c the ER was wayyy too busy. I waited for 5 hours and decided to leave) and he checked for the heartbeat and found it:)  Then he sent me for an ultrasound and thats where they saw that it was just a subchrionic blood clot.  He told me that as the baby grows it will probably push the rest of the clot out.  But i just bled that one time.  I'm 18 weeks along right now and i havn't had anymore problems with the clot.  I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes smoothly and you have no more problems with the clot :)  Oh and as for the sex question...we didn't abstain from sex at all b/c the doctor never mentioned anything about it.  He just said that having sex could loosen the clot and possibly make it come out, which it will probably come out anyway.

I had one when I was 6 weeks, was spotting for a coupld days then had one day of pretty heavy bleeding, then tapered off to random spotting for a couple days. I didn't have to go on bed rest or anything but my Midwife did say no sex until I went a full 2 weeks without any spotting or discharge. so all in all from when it started til 2 weeks without anything we went a little over a month no sex. So far so good now, I'm 16 weeks along and haven't had anymore spotting since then!
