Hi, I'm new here & wanted you all to knwo a little about me. I'm 33 y/o been ttc for years. I was married & in the middle of fertility treatments a few years ago I lost my right ovary and tube & he had sperm issues. But in the middle of it all I lost my husband from a heart problem we didnt even know he had, he was 34 y/o.My life came to a halt & for years i didnt even go anywhere but work. God blessed me with my current partner whom i love and we want to get married we've been together for 1 year and a half. Unfortunately I've never been blessed with children, thoughtout my life I've had 4 misscarriages the most recent on on Sept/09 I was 6 weeks.

I'm now pegnant again...6 wks 2 days. My hcg levels began at 48.5 and a week later were 2853 then 48 hrs later 4932 then 72 hrs later 5339. as you can see they doubled at the begining but they havent exactly doubled. They keep going up but nothing major. So i went to the ER Jan 2nd because I feared ectopic. They did an ultrasound and saw a gestational sac measuring at 4 wks,,,not hb or yolk sac or fetal pole. of course in the ER they don go into details all they said was it was to earl to tell.

I'm freaking out, been crying, cant sleep. I have no insurance and wont get medical help unless its a viable pregnancy. We are doing everything to get enough money to pay for a prenatal visit but they are very expensive here in Miami over 550 no including exams.

Can anyone...please shed soem light as to my situation, perhaps some personal experiences. I will appeciate anything and everything from you ladies.

Thanks for reading my story & taking an interest.

Many blessing to all and H&HP and bi BFP to everyone!

Cant wait to hear from you all.

Well I wanted to start by saying you are a very strong woman to have made it this far!  Congrats!  I have never had a miscarriage personally, but this pregnancy started out similar!  I didnt know how far along I was, so they did an u/s right off to determine gestation. (they estimated 5 weeks)  Well they say the "sac" with nothing in it, as well as something on my ovary.  I get a call later that day from the Dr saying I needed to go immediately to a specialist to have another ultrasound becuase they feared an ectopic pregnancy.  They also started monitoring my hcg levels.  So bloodwork #1 was 3200.  24 hours later 4400 (clearly not doubled).  Then I had my ultrasound.  No ectopic, just an ovarian cyst, yet the "sac" still looked the same, and this was a week later.  So when my Dr  calls later with the report, she is fearing that I am miscarrying because my hcg levels arent going up "like they should", and there was no obvious change in my ultrasound.  Well 72 hours after the last hcg check, it was 8800.  And I had a repeat ultrasound 1 week later.  There was finally a heartbeat.  And everything is fine.  The Drs just started checking things WAY too early, and scared us all.

But I DOOO know that a miscarriage is unavoidable if it happens.  There is nothing that can be done to stop in its its tracks.  Which is why most places wont even see you until your are 8-9 weeks.  There is no point sooner.  The only reason they saw me sooner was because I already thought I was 8 weeks.  I am currently only 7.4 weeks, and have my 1st REAL appointment in 2 weeks.

Are you having any bleeding?  Any PAINFUL cramping?  mild cramping is normal.

But just relax, try not to stress about it, it only makes sense that a stressful body wont help much.  But then again I was a wreck for my 1st pregnancy thinking I was going to miscarry.  There was nothing going on to make me THINK I was miscarry, it was a fear of mine.

Best of luck to you!  I hope this one is a keeper! =D

I'm sorry I don't know anything about levels but you are in  my prayers.

Your levels sound perfect to me, did you fear ectopic because of pain?  Or do you feel like you may be paranoid now?

I think the worse you can do right now is sucome to stress and worry and not taking good care of your body by sleeping, etc.  Please have faith in your body and focus on making it a good home.

Hi hon. I can understand why you are worried. You have been through a lot. But it is very early as the other girls have said. I wouldnt get too worked up just yet. Every woman is different and every baby and pregnancy develops differently. As for insurance.. could you do medicaid? I had medicaid for the first little bit of this pregnancy. Everything is paid for with it. NO cost to you at all. You can go to our local health department and apply. Only takes about a week to get approved which almost everyone does granted their annual income meets requirements. Please try not to stress. It wont make you feel better. I had a m/c a few years ago at 8 weeks. I was devastated. So I know the pain you have gone through. Just keep your chin up love.

I dont know anything about the levels or anything. But I do know that my first ultrasound was at 4 weeks 6 days. They couldn't see a HB or anything. Its normal. If I remember correctly they can't see a heartbeat until like 6 or 7 weeks. Just try to keep yourself calm. Stress right now is the worst thing for you. Oh.. and congrats..

I had the same issue in the beginning of this pregancy, we did IUI and my first HCG level was 52 I went  2 days later to see if it had doubled and it was only 83 so of course i was miserable and crying the whole two days until the next test. I google everything i could find and then when I got the call to say the third level was perfect I forgot to even ask how much it was LOL-what I did learn was that not all pregnancies double in 48 hours and that some can actually take up to 72 hours. Here are a few links that i found when I was searching for info.

Sorry to hear about your losses in the past. I have had one m/c myself 2 years ago, and it was very hard. i also had issues with the hcg levels going up at first. But my doc said it was nothing to worry about as long as i wasnt in any pain or wasnt cramping. Now im 37+ weeks and having a girl...So there is hope.. Good luck..

God Bless you and your family!!

    hi :o)

Thanks so much for your reply. You have actually made me breath!! I'm so glad your little one is doing great and I pray you continue to have a H&HP an a very healthy baby.

I actually dont have cramping, or bleeding. I feel very pregnant. Dizzy, bloated, breast hurt like crazy. But I'm worried, my levels havent doubled, in the ER they said they saw a sac but that it was to early to tell if it was empty or not!! HELLO I'm 6 weeks.. in reality 4 weeks because I know exactly when i ovulated so it's 4 now as per what I read people see something a yolk sac fetal pole heart beat...and they said nothing!!

I'm in tears most every comes and goes I try to think of something else but I can't...I'm going to pay for an ultrasound myself and see what it indicates because at this point all doctors visits cost over $300 even with me telling them I have no insurance.

So I shall wait and see what they find, since I am paying for it I can ask questions without having to wait for a doctor to read it and tell me I can just ask them right then and there.

All I know is, I simply dont understand how I could have 2 blighted ovums one after the other!!! I'm so upset I'm almost even angry!

Once again, thanks so much for taking the time to reply and I appreciate your support.

i will keep posting whats going on and please lets keep in touch :o)
