Question about dentist and being pregnant (kinda worried)

Ok, before I found out I was pregnant I had a couple dentist appt's to get my teeth cleaned and fixed before my insurance changed. Well when I went to the dentist for my first visit they took those xray picture things done and had 5 fillings and one tooth pulled. When I got my one tooth pulled they gave me shots for the pain while they pulled it and also gave me pain meds after the tooth was pulled, I only took 3 hydrocodines for the pain. So I found out I was pregnant about a week and a half later, so my question is, is it bad that I had the xray pictures done while I am pregnant and also could the pain meds affect the baby?  I go to the drs on the 10th of this month so I will ask then but just to calm my worring has anyone experienced this?

Well I am going to guess the shots were just to numb your mouth I wouldn't know about the pain pills but being that you only took three is good. I just went to the dentist and i told them so we didn't do x-ray but she said if i had a hurt tooth they could do a few it would be ok.

i would have to say your are fine..everything happened very early on and chances of anything happening are slim to none.

they usually put the vest over you when you have xrays done so that should have protected your baby.  i guess try not to worry.  as far as getting teeth worked on, ive known alot of women who are preggers who need to get work done on their teeth...and it has been fine for them and their babies.

I would say it's okay.

I had to have chest x-rays done when I was preggo b/c I developed pneumonia after having the flu and they had to have two sets. She was fine and my doctor said that should be the least of my worries.

Since being pregnant I got cavities filled and one was a really big one. The denstist prescribed me the same pain medication and I talked to the pharmacy and they said the only thing that it would really do is if I became addicted so would the baby. Luckily I ended up not needing it but I just thought I would share what I was told and try to make you feel a bit better about it :)

Stressing about it is worse then anything else. I would guess that because it happened very early on it shouldn't be a problem. At my dentist if your pregnant the only thing they change is they double the lead vest, and they don't give you nitrous. (obviously lol) but thats it.
