On Jan 27th I turned in my 2nd 24 hour urine collection at which the dr told me she would call if my results were bad, no phone call all weekend. I had an appointment on Monday the 1st and that dr told me that I have pre eclampsia because my protein levels were through the roof and I needed to be on bedrest and come into the office twice per week to have an NST and once to see the dr and scheduled an ultrasound ASAP (which was supposed to be this coming Friday). I was going to reschedule my appointment today because of the weather but something told me that I really could not miss it. Well as it turns out baby and I are fine. I have no signs of pre e at all. The dr I saw today looked up my results and my protein levels were just fine, my blood pressures have been fine. They went ahead and did my ultrasound today (before they looked up my results) because they were really slow, most patients arent showing up due to the weather and Friday we are supposed to get more snow. So I am now off bed rest, only have to come in once a week. They are estimating the baby at 6lbs 14oz, which i know can vary but sounds about right, all of my girls have been big. She is measuring a week and 5 days ahead of scheduled though. I'm really hoping that I can go into labor on my own and have a successful vbac. Thanks ladies for letting me vent...this office drives me nuts!!
I guess the most frustrating part about it is this is not the first time they have told me the wrong thing or got my paperwork mixed up. The day I turned in my 24 hour urine collection one of the nurses had written that I have chronic hypertension and that I'm on bp medication. I have never had problems with my blood pressure except one day at the dr because i made my appointment too early and had to drive through really bad traffic which had me irritated...thats it!! I really wish this place would get their act together....
wow im happy you dont have pre-e!! did they have an explanation for you being told incorrectly? i would have wanted one because what else are they going to mess up? i hope you get your VBAC!! :)
They said the dr must have looked at another patients records for the 24 hour urine.....I can't wait to be done with this place!! I see a different dr everytime I'm there because its affiliated with the local med school and hospital so there is no telling which dr will deliver the baby, and I always see a student first. I understand they have to learn but sometimes its frustrating!!
