How early can you hear heartbeat with a doppler?
I'm just curious how early it is possible to hear the baby's heartbeat with a good medical grade doppler(not a cheap walmart one)? With my other two pregnancies I rented one starting at 9 weeks into my prenancy and was able to hear it right away. With this pregnancy I'm going to buy one but I'm wondering if I shouldn't buy it sooner to try at 8 weeks or even 7 weeks? Has anyone tried that early with a good doppler and heard the heartbeat or is it even possible?
I got mine at 10 wks! It was a little time consuming to find the heartbeat but it was great to hear and it always picked up well. I wouldn't try before 8 wks b/c most docs don't even try to find it before then b/c if they don't we get nervous LOL! I would say between 8-10 wks is a good time. I enjoy listening to mine a few times a week and the boys love it too!
They do help to put my mind at ease! We miscarried our first baby and with our other 2 we had bleeding so it was so nice to be able to just hear those heartbeats and Know that they were still okay! I think I may go ahead and order it by 8 weeks and then just hope to be able to hear it! We were always able to find it right away and quite easily from the time we got it on but I'm also pretty tiny so I'm hoping that if we try at 8 weeks we'll get to hear it too!
