So Now What Do I Do???

Well I'm in NC and away from any family. His or mine. No one can come to me for a little while to help out and Dh is deployed and we're hoping he'll be here for the birth but I'm going to be realistic. I had made 3 different plans for what I would do with my son when I went into the hospital to have this baby and all 3 have fell through. 5 weeks before my due date and they all fall through.

Plan A's husband up and did something stupid resulting in him getting kicked out the army so she and her family have had to move out of state to stay with her mom until they figure something out. Can't be mad at that.

Plan B decided to plan a camping trip out of nowhere and just told me and the camping trip is close to when I'm due. If the baby comes early we'll be safe but if he's on time or late then I'm screwed.

Plan C had to move because of medical issues and is now close to a specialists. I hope everything works out for her. This plan fell through before Plan B did so I wasn't freaking out.

But now what do I do? I have no one to watch my son while I have this baby!!!!!!! I've tried to come up with things to replace plans as they fell through but unfortunately I couldn't. I don't really know anyone out here as we moved here 6 weeks before Dh deployed.  Anyone have any ideas or been through this before?

Do you have facebook? A girl I know moved to that area, so I can send her a message and see if she may know of anyone who could help.

that stinks.  How old is your son?  Does he go to day care?  if he does you could ask a teacher or classmate's parents...

You have a couple weeks, hopefully maybe you could interview some "babysitters" and pay someone to watch him while you're in the hospital... kind of like a housesitter/babysitter?

I'm so sorry. I don't know what to tell you.... talk to your doctor, maybe they have somewhere at the hospital that can watch him while your having the baby. I don't know!!!!

Are you really stuck on a hospital birth?

Do you have/want a doula?   You might consider one to help!   ;-)

Contact your frg leader, and they'll send out the broadcast that another momma needs help and you'd be suprised how many people would be willing to help! I came but here to AK and didn't know many ppl and needed a pack in play for my son and I had numerous mom offer to help with moving and anything I needed. That's why they're there to help out! Best of luck momma. P.s my hubby was deployed when iour ds was born so I feel ya. Pm me if u need a fellow army wife!!

He isn't in daycare. He's 18 months.

I thought about a doula but that would only help me. If I could avoid this hospital I would but I don't think tricare would pay for a midwife to come and deliver me at home.

LOL my husband suggested that last night when he called. The thing is I'm really antsy about who I leave my son with. I have to know you. I don't know anyone in the FRG. I don't even know the leader. I have big time trust issues when it comes to my child. But that looks like the only thing I can do......

Thanks ladies for all the suggestions.
