Both my boys had similar birth marks and I am curious how common that is? Xavier was born with a birth mark that started on the back of his lower neck and ran up into the back of head! Malachi is exactly the same except its a little wider and is a little farther down towards his back and stops at the very top of his shoulder blades.

Xavier's has lightened and his skinned has darkened enough that the only place you can see his is in the back of his head! You can still see Malachi's some on his back and back of his head but its fading too!

Here is a pick of Malachi's:

Do two or more of your kids have similar birth marks?? I will be anxious to see if our baby girl has something similar! I probably turn her over and check as soon as she pops out LOL!!

My daughter has a tiny red mark on her back, but that's it. Baby #2 is due in August, so I can't really compare birth marks yet.

However, my sisters and I have identical freckle patterns on different parts of our bodies. Two of my sisters have the same pattern on their forearms, but on opposite arms and the pattern is actually reversed like a mirror image. It's crazy, but cool too.

Two of my brothers have also had the same birthmark on their foreheads. You know the red splotchy marks babies get that go away by a year or so? Well they had identical V shapes.

So it is pretty common! That is so cool!!! Did you notice if the siblings with similar birth marks have a tighter connection or bond??

My first DS doesn't have any birthmarks. My second DS has a very large birthmark. It covers part of his butt, goes down one leg and onto his foot. Its a pinkish color. It was very dark when he was born, so much they thought he had no circulation in his leg. He also had the "stork bite" on the back of his neck.  I have a birthmark that covers one boob and goes around my left side. Its not pink though, its white where the skin didn't pigment. I'm interested to see if our little girl will have any birthmarks.

I have a light brown birth mark on my right arm, about an inch and a half long.. it's shaped like a pirate sword (lol, if you know how to look at it). I forget I have it 90% of the time, and when I catch a glimpse of it I always think it's dirt.. lol. Don't know about baby yet!

Neither of mine were born with any birthmarks they developed a week or 2 later.  My second daughter has a red mole on the top of her head, my mom has the same mole in the same spot and so did her father.

My daughter has a birth mark on her knee in the shape and color of a huge freckle. My husband has an one exactly like that on his chest. Also, DD has a mole on her shoulder in the same place as I do, and 2 freckles on her face in the same spot that I do... so cool! :)
