DF and i had sex this morning for the first time in i think over a month.. and i have been having contractions but havent been timing them at all all morning, but have been having them definitely more than 4 times an hour(except i dont know how often when i was sleeping, but DF told me i had some in my sleep too) and then i woke up when he had to go to work at 1100 and couldnt go back to sleep, and had a few of them so i figured hey what the heck and started timing them.  i started about an hour ago and they were about seven minutes apart except for one which was i think four miniutes, but then it went back to be all seven minutes apart..

at my 37 week appt they didnt check for dilation or anything, they just asked me if i had any questions and then had me reschedule for next weeks appt.

here i am an hour after i started timing them and they are still seven minutes apart.. but i dont want to go to the hospital and miss work if its just false labor. and i dont want DF to come get me and leave work if its just false labor.i just had another one moments ago that was again seven minutes from the last one i had.

what did your first contractions feel like in labor, these kinda make me uncomfortable, and kinda hurt a little, but not full pain that i always hear women in...

i really dont want to miss work if i dont have to.. so please help me out mamas what should i do..

How intense are they? Can you speak and walk through them, or do you have to stop what you're doing? It could possibly be labor, but I wouldn't worry about going in unless your water leaks/breaks or they're 4-5 minutes apart.

I would watch them. If this is your first baby you should be alright. They will either get more intense to wear you are uncomfortable or your water will break. One way are the other you'll get an un easy feeling. With my first my water broke and I stayed at home for a few hrs before contractions. With my second My contractions were so scattered I thought they were braxton hicks. Turns out they just got so intense I wanted pain meds I went to the hopspital and was 8 cm. (note that was my second though you usually dialate quicker with second, third, so on) Don't freak yourself out. Just keep yourself aware... If you get uncomfortable go to the hosptal.

Remember that sex can cause contractions in general. I think you are expreiencing pre-labor. If you are at work and can get through the contractions with questions about what you should do, it is probably just practice. Real labor contractions would get closer together with time and increase in intensity too.

i guess i would just take it easy today and see where they go. when they are distanced so far apart, my contractions generally werent very painful. sure they were uncomfortable, but not horrible. but then again everyone labors differently and has different pain tolerances also. so i would just keep eye on that timer, walk, squats and see where it all leads. good luck!!
