UPDATE WITH PICS: just had U/S appt, kind of bumming....

I just had an u/s, and baby was not very cooperative at all.  She was balled up as tight as could be and sleeping buried down in my pelvis.  I was really hoping for great 3d/4d pics today of her face to see her true features, but just no luck.  The tech was able to see everything she needed to as far as the medical concerns and baby is prefectly healthy and developing exactly on target.  Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled about that!  But, a little bummed that I didn't get to really see her.  This was probably our last u/s and I really wanted to know what she looks like!

You can always do a 3d/4d u/s at a private office.  If you find the right place it can be pretty cheap.  If you do this or get to have another U/s, make it for in the morning and drink a glass of Orange juice right before the appt.   Glad she's healthy!!!

Our tech told me that the doc MIGHT order another one at 36 weeks or so to measure growth, but usually that far along is not good for the 3d/4d pics.  Any moms who would disagree with that?  Please tell me that you got great pics that late in the pregnancy!  LOL.

Our local community college does teaching 3-D ultrasounds.  They don't charge and as long as you have permission from your doctor's office they do them free of charge.  Plus they are greatful when you volunteer because it's teaching the students.  It's free and you could see if they have it available in your area and make it in a few weeks or something. :)

I just called my doc yesterday because I wanted a 3d and they said that I can schedule it differently from my normal ultra sound (which is on the 29th). It will have to be paid out of pocket but it is only 125. Which I think is a good price because I have heard of them costing as much as 600. And that includes pics and a 30 minute dvd.

My daughter looks nothing like her 3d/4d so I wish I hadn't have seen them. I wanted normal U/S pics anyway and we didn't even get one. Very disappointing. So I'd be happy if I were you lol. My baby looked like a baby kangaroo.... My DH was scared.

My baby covered her face with her hand the whole time so I never did get a good look at her face. I am 36 weeks and 2 days.
