Things you wish you would have known before you got pregnant...
I was just thinking of all of the things, I wish I would have knwn before I got pregnant. Random aches and pains, fingers swelling, round ligament pain. The list goes on..What are some things you guys wish you would have known beforehand.
I wish i had known id be so overly emotional. I cry about so much stuff and on the flip side so many things just piss me off. I never used to be like that. I honestly dont know how my DH deals with me lol
I wish I'd known how freaking AWFUL morning sickness is. Not that I was planning this pregnancy anyway, but I just figured morning sickness= nauseous in the morning, oh no big deal. YEAH RIGHT!
I honestly can't say there was anything that surprised me about pregnancy. I've had an interest in pregnancy and birth for a very long time, so even before my hubby and I got married I was always looking that stuff up. It was nice to know all that because we were hit with other trials in addition to normal pregnancy stuff.
That I'd end up on bedrest! TOTAL opposite of my last pregnancy.
How crazy BM would get when she found out I was expecting the first time round. Since she wasn't in the picture she actually wasn't told until she saw it in the newspaper. Then when we got visitation she wasn't told that I was expecting again until after the baby was born. This third time round her and her husband decided to try to have a baby too since we decided to tell her from the begining. If I had known how crazy my life would get I would have waited until DH had both steps firmly in his custody with BM no where around (she actually used me getting pregnant as an excuse for DH to not get full custody, saying that with me popping out kids there wasn't stability in the steps lives and she would be the better parent. The thing that gets me is that the judge agreed!)
I wish I would have known more about the importance of choosing natural birth-- the more I could have known going in, the more I could have aimed for that longer & stronger!
And that it would have been helpful to either have a college degree or have established myself in a profession pre-pregnancy that I can do later, as a mom.
I wish I had known that you get a kid at the end of the pregnancy. Man, that was a surprise.
I wish I would have listened to everyone that said each pregnancy is different... With my son I had a breeze of a pregnancy, no sickness at all, virtually no aches and pains... it was wonderful. Compared to that, this has already been the pregnancy from you know where! At least its all worth it in the end!
I wish I had known about round ligament pain. I never had it with my first two at all. This time, it's pretty bad. My midwife said it tends to get worse with each pregnancy, which makes no sense at all to me! UG, I'm only 12 weeks along, I can't even imagine what it'll be like when I'm farther along!
