How many kids do you have and who babysits when you go out?
This is #3 for me. I have a 5 and 2 yr old. I think they are pretty easy kids and dont feel bad when leaving them with my mom or sis, but I think 3 would be alot. Is it? My 5 yr old is really independent and my 2 yr old is easy going but even adding a baby to that mix seems like it would be overwhelming to someone who doesn't have 3 kids. Im just thinking about what Im going to do on date nights and such. Do you split them up of tell the sitter to suck it up? (he he)
they'll have to suck it up. that being said, it won't be singles babysitting, it's always mimi and popi or families with kids.
When I was 16-18 or so I regularly babysat 4 kids (siblings), the oldest would have been 8-10 and the youngest a baby. It was fine and I of course had no kids of my own to have practiced on first. ;-) One of those kids is now 16 and babysits my son quite a bit. She is my first choice of sitters actually!
Myself, I have 2 kids and no one has babysat them together yet since the baby is only 3 weeks, but when I need a sitter for DS (2.5 yrs old), it's always been grandma (my mom) or my best friend, or occasionally the other grandparents, if not the teen I mentioned.
I have 7 kids. Grandma always watches them for us when we have date nights!
my mother watches my dd and we are about to have our 2nd child in like 2 months so she will be coming over to watched both of them when we go out and she says it doesn't bother her at all and she would watch 10 kids because they are her grandkids and that is what grandparents do.
We have 2 and preggo with our third but as of right now only 1 is alive. My grandma watches her when we decide to actually leave the house. Other then that she only takes her when I have a Dr appt. So really only once a month for an over night. SHe got lucky this month and got an over night twice and hopefully she'll get 1 more in before gma goes to NJ for 6 weeks she leaves out in a month I think.
I have 7 (I run a daycare.) They arent my kids but they are here for the majority of the day everyday so they kinda are my kids. Its actually not too bad because they all have a schedule and ive learned to work their schedules around each other. The biggest headache is running errands. DH has to stay with them because I AM NOT taking 7 kids with me to run errands. Ill usually take my son with me if he isnt napping or playing with the kids. Once I made the mistake of taking the 7 and 8 year old and that was just a pain. They wanted to touch everything and stop and look at everything. Then when I would tell them to walk by me, they would walk right in front of the cart. I enjoy the company of my son when hes in a good mood and he LOVES people so its a win win. :)
i have 4 and pretty much nobody ever watches them. i don't remember what it's like to go out without kids and what the hell is a date night anyway...lol my family is in Florida and hubby's family is overseas so it's just me and him. :( my 7 month old won't stay with anyone but me or my husband so i'm pretty much attached at the hip most of the time
